Show & Shine Awards

Contestants may enter their units in a maximum of three (3) ‘Show & Shine’ classes for judging.  These include classes for tractors, straight, tractor-trailer combinations, fleets, restored and paint.  Each truck is closely examined by at least one team of three judges.  The judges are knowledgeable in the trucking industry and represent various aspects of the industry such as drivers, owner-operators, mechanics, dispatchers, company owners etc.

The judges take into consideration the age and mileage of the truck/tractor-trailer, overall appearance and general maintenance of the unit.  Judges separately score each entry in the category being judged.  These results are then given to an independent accounting personnel for tabulation.  The winners’ list is presented to a Fergus Truck Show Director or Chief Operations Officer immediately prior to the Award Presentation on Sunday.

To keep the Fergus Truck Show fun and personal, prize money is not offered to ‘Show & Shine’ winners.  The winner and runner-up in each class receive a plaque stating the placing, class and sponsor of the award.  All winners also receive a gift item.

Confirmation of ‘Show & Shine’ sponsorship is required prior to June 13th, 2008.
