2007 Show Events The Roadhammers Saturday night Castrol Heavy Duty Lubricants presents The Roadhammers. Expect an action packed 90 minutes of entertainment. These guys just don't know when to stop and will likely has more fun on stage than you can handle on the ground. Approximate time on stage is 10:00pm. cost is included in your ticket. Aaron Pritchett Nominated this year for a Canadian Juno award, Aaron will be looking for you to "hold his beer" while he sings many of his top 10 hits. Aaron takes to the stage around 2 pm on Sunday. Cost is included in your ticket Great Lakes Helicopters Great Lakes Helicopters will be back for a 3rd year giving spectators a view of the show from the air. There is a fee to ride the helicopters. Greg Evigan Also known as BJ MacKay from the 70’s TV series BJ and the Bear will be on site all weekend signing autographs and will sing a few songs from his CD at noon on Sunday. Truck & Tractor Pulls We have an action packed weekend of pulling. In fact we have so much scheduled that we are pulling on Thursday night also. Check out the schedule page for the whole lineup. All the pulls are included in regular gate admission. BBQ The Alma Optimists are back to prepare a home cooked meal for 1200 hungry people. Theroast beef dinnercosts$12.00. The meal is served in the Diamond Entertainment area between 6 and 8 pm on Saturday. Tickets on sale at the show. Trucker's Breakfast On Sunday morning the Freelton Lions put on a great spread. Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes & syrup, toast, coffee & juice. If your entered in the Show & Shine, Premier Peterbilt pays for your meal. This breakfast is open to everyone for a fee and is served in the Diamond Entertainment area from 8 - 10:30am. Sunday Morning Church Service Chaplain Len Reimer from Transport For Christ will lead a non-denominational service along with many ministerials from the Center Wellington area in the Family Area. Jeff Gordon's Racecar Visit Metro Collision's site for a close up look at Jeff Gordon's Dupont Nextel racecar. The Dupont Chevrolet will be on display, weather permitting Friday & Saturday noon - 6pm. Project Track Champion Look behind the arena for Project Track Champion. This unique vehicle allows those with special needs as well as those without, an opportunity to grasp a true sense and feeling of what it is like to be inside a real race car. Classic Rock Friday We are proud to have Volvo present the entertainment on Friday night. We have two of the best tribute bands booked. They are Hotel California with songs from the Eagles and the Bayou Boys with their tribute to Creedance Clearwater Revival. Silent Auction Visit site L 18 for the daily silent auction. There will be a wide variety of items to bid on. Child Find Ontario Stop by the Ontario Trucking News site at S19 for your chance to win a Nascar jacket and while your there have your childrens fingerprints taken. Make A Wish NAL Insurance at site M27 & 28 will have the Make A Wish dragster on their site. Blue County You will want to check out this band right out Nashville Tennesee.. The duo consists of Scott Reeves and Aaron Benward. Before Blue County Scott Reeves was on the Young and Restless playing Ryan for 10 years. He was also on Days of our Lives and in many movies such as Friday the 13th....Jason Takes Manhattan, Hot Shots Part Duex and many others. Blue County will take to the stage in the Diamond Entertainment Area at noon on Sunday and is sponsored by Mobil Delvac. There is no charge to enter this contest. The Back 40 The Back 40 Show & Shine area is located at the south end of the show behind the trees. This year this area is action packed, Benson Tire will be offering great prizes, there will be pony rides for the kids, a stage will be set up on Saturday afternoon for musicians to jam and warm up for their performance throughout the day and don’t forget the chance to win all the great prizes from Gr8Oddz. |
