General Show Questions

Is there handicap parking onsite? There is limited handicap parking on site.
I have trouble walking can I bring a golf cart or ATV to get around the Show grounds? No, however we do allow handicap scooters & electric wheelchairs. During daylight hours we do have "people movers" that tractors pull around various areas of the show. The Show staff & volunteers use golf carts to do the required jobs and routine patrolling.
Are motorcycles permitted on Show grounds? Motorcycles are only allowed in the campground area or if used on a exhibitor display. They are not to be driven throughout the showgrounds.
Can I leave the grounds and come back? You can however you will need to have your Weekend or Day wristband for re-admission. If you remove your wristband it is considered void.
Are pets allowed on the Show grounds? We prefer that all pets are left at home. If you have to bring your pet it must be leashed and under your control at all times. Please remember you are legally responsible for your pets actions.
Is there an ATM on site? There are 2 ATM's on site, one inside the Complex and the other located outside near the back entrance of the arena. As well there will be 2 ATM's located outside the show near the entry gates.
Are passes transferable? No. In 2007 we implemented a wristband policy. Anyone at the show must be wearing an appropriate wristband for that day. Torn wristbands are considered void.
What are the show hours? The whole show is open to the general public starting at 6pm on Thursday July 23, noon on Friday July 24 to 1am, Saturday July 25 from 9am to 1am, and Sunday July 26 from 8:00am to 4pm.

Can I purchase advance tickets? Advance tickets are available online now at www.fergustruckshow.com
Can spectators bring alcohol into the show? No. Under AGCO (Alcohol & Gaming Commission of Ontario) regulations the only areas that alcohol is permitted is the 2 dedicated licenced areas. Again this year the OPP will be present with a zero tolerance on open alcohol and in coolers on the showgrounds.
Is the whole show open on Thursday? Yes, new this year, beginning at 6pm the entire show will be open to the general public.
Why is the Show charging for kids this year? In 2006 we started to include more events to make the show family oriented. This year Robertson Amusements will have a full amusement park set up and the cost to go on the rides are included in the gate fees. The idea of the free midway is to promote families to enjoy the rides together.

Show & Shine Questions

Once I am parked in the Show & Shine area what else do I have to do? After you are parked you need to take your pre-registration confirmation or your at site payment confirmation and registration form to the Registration Shed along with your mileage. At that time you will receive your Weekend Passes, window placard and goody bag.
If I enter a truck in the Show & Shine can I sleep in my truck? We encourage you to stay in your truck or if room allows you can set up a tent behind your truck but please take it down during the day. Our judges do look at your site appearance when they are judging your truck.
Do you expect very little to no lineup for Show & Shine parking? Due to loss of one of our rental properties all participants have to enter through the Sportsplex. This may cause some backlog. Once you get to the Staging Area you must show your pre-registration confirmation or pay $50 (cash, debit, Visa, MC or AMEX). You will then be parked. Only trucks who are pre registered can enter the grounds starting at 10 am on Thursday. All other trucks cannot enter until Friday at 9am or Saturday at 8 am. There will be no parking on the Show & Shine field after 9pm Thursday & Friday.
If I have a truck in the Show & Shine can I bring in supplies in a car/pickup? No, you must bring all supplies with you or carry in from front entrance. Please remember that we had over 400Trucks on our S&S; field in 2008 as well as over 72,000 spectators. Having additional vehicle movement creates a huge liability as well it upsets many S&S; participants with the amount of dust in the air.
As a Show & Shine participant can we bring alcohol to the Show? Under AGCO (Alcohol & Gaming Commission of Ontario) and Township of Centre Wellington, the area designated for your truck is considered your campsite. Alcohol may be consumed on your campsite only. Alcohol is not permitted off of your campsite.
