2009 TRUCK PULL CLASSES
GENERAL RULES
CLASS GUIDELINES & RULES

• 6,000 lb local non-circuit ( Thursday Night Only)
• 6,001 - 8,200 lb local non-circuit (Thursday Night Only)
• Single Axle Tractor (Class cancelled due to shortage of trucks)
• Tandem Tractor (Saturday Afternoon Only)

General Rules

1. A minimum of three (3) eligible entries are required in each class for that class to be held.
2. Trucks will be pre-staged and must be at Pull position within 3 min. of the time the sled is ready, if a puller has a mechanical problem he/she must notify track official before he/she pulls and must drop to last position.
3. All trucks must be weighed right after registration and have their number card stamped by scale official in order to pull. Total weight includes driver.
4. If sharing weights with another puller, then ONE (1) or more trucks must separate you in the pull line-up. Register accordingly.
5. First driver of each class is the test puller. At the completion of his/her pull he/she may elect to pull again in 3rd, 6th or last position. If a driver elects to do this, his/her first pull does not count. Decisions on re-pulls must be made before pulling vehicle is unhooked from sled. In the event of a change in the sled, the second puller then becomes the test puller and the first puller becomes the last puller.
6. A puller may have a second try if he/she stops within 75 feet of the start line. However, in a pull-off the puller has only one try.
7. No dual wheels allowed in any 4 X 4 class except 6,001 - 8,200 lb stock local class
8. No studded tires or chains in any class.
9. No passengers allowed in the truck while it is pulling.
10. All trucks must be licensed & insured and all drivers have a valid driver’s license.
11. Loss of ballast weight or equipment under the green will be grounds for disqualification.
12. There will be an automatic disqualification if the pulling truck touches the white side lines,
13. No alcohol consumption in the pit or staging area. Alcohol not to be consumed anywhere except in the beer garden or in your own camp site (if camping). Alcohol consumption or abusive behavior WILL be grounds for disqualification.
14. All pull trucks when entering or leaving the "Grounds' are not to exceed a 5 mph speed limit, and when not pulling MUST remain in the pit area. IF A TRUCK LEAVES THE PIT AREA, AUTOMATIC DISQUALIFICATION APPLIES. The puller will have to re-register and pay the appropriate fees.
15. All decisions concerning truck classification and/or eligibility will be made by the Track Officials.
16. At all times the trucks, drivers, and the Pulls will be governed by the Fergus Truck Show Committee. All registered pull trucks must have their number card visible at all times. The card to be taped on the windshield.
17. ENTRY FEE WILL NOT BE REFUNDED IF DISQUALIFIED.
18. LACK OF ADHERENCE TO THESE RULES WILL BE GROUNDS FOR DISQUALIFICATION
19. Pressurized fuels such as propane or nitrous oxide are not allowed as a secondary fuel.
20. Puller may have sled spotted on starting line where desired by placing provided pylon at the center point of the sled. This can be done once the previous puller begins his/her pull but before the sled returns to the starting position.
21. 4 X 4 trucks may be asked at random after the pulls start for a weight check, if over the legal weight or refusal to re -weigh will result in disqualification.
22. TRACK OFFICIALS DECISIONS ARE FINAL.

2009 TRUCK PULL CLASS GUIDELINES AND RULES

HOOK FEE - $25.00

Non - Point Classes

6,000 lb 4X4 Trucks - Local - Non - Circuit ( Thursday Night only )

1. All 4 x 4 Stock Trucks must be naturally aspirated with a single carburetor or factory fuel injected and weigh a maximum of 6,000 lbs.
2. Trucks must be street legal, licensed and insured.
3. Headers are allowed. Mufflers must be attached.
4. All general track rules apply.
5. Hitch point is to be the rear most point of the truck, rigid in all directions and a maximum of 22 inches from the hitching device to the ground. No part of hitching device to exceed centre of rear axle.
6. Blocks are NOT allowed to make truck suspension rigid. Air shocks not to exceed 30 psi
7. No extra weights are allowed ahead of the box. Only snow plow harness allowed.
8. S. Stock manifold.
9. Tire size 33 X 10.5 maximum

Heavy Truck Rules - Highway Tractors ( Saturday Afternoon only)

1. All trucks must be licensed, insured and highway legal.
2. All track rules apply.
3. No modification to the suspension - chains at your discretion.
4. Highway Tractors
   - may not add any additional weights (no crane loaders, skid steer loaders or excess chains, etc.) before pulling.
5. The maximum heights from the ground to the top of the pivot pin is 50 inches.Air Bags must be fully inflated when hooking up to sled.
6. Highway tractors must be designed to pull trailers.
7. All fifth wheels must hitch without assistance.
