This is a guideline to assist in your preparation for the Fergus Truck Show. It is a brief outline the judges consider when examining each entry. Each Show & Shine entry is examined by at least one team of three independent judges. The judges are very knowledgeable of the trucking industry and represent various aspects of the industry - owner/operators, mechanics, drivers, dispatchers, company owners, etc. The judges take into consideration the age and mileage of the truck/tractor/trailer, overall appearance and general maintenance of the unit. Each judge separately scores each entry in the categories he is judging. These results are given to independent accounting personnel for tabulation. Each judge’s score is entered into the computer, which in turns prints out the winner and runner-up of each class. The winners list is presented to the Fergus Truck Show President and Chief Operations Officer immediately prior to the Award presentations on Sunday.
